Sustainability is a key element of E-Star Alternative Plc.`s strategy.
For the Company, this management approach means striking a long-term balance between the interests of stakeholders in the course of implementing the Company`s strategy and operation. Based on this, it does not wish to make interests of any one group of stakeholders dominant to the detriment of the others. The company`s management wishes to ensure that its ongoing dialogue with stakeholders supports the short-term responsiveness and efficiency necessary for rational operation. Besides achieving business success and remaining competitive, E-Star aims to make the best possible use of renewable energy sources in order to continuously improve its sustainability indicators.
Through its activities, E-Star contributes to the realisation of the EU`s environmental protection and energy policy directive target for 2020, with its increasing use of renewable energy sources and the latest generation of efficient energy systems.
The company wishes to contribute significantly to the reduction of environmental footprint induced by energy consumption. We aim to reduce CO2 emissions by 1,8 million tons, which is equivalent to the CO2 emissions of 300 000 cars per year.
E-Star `s medium-term goal is to join the global frontrunners in terms of sustainability, and for this to be certified by the assurance systems of international institutions, such as the Dow Jones Sustainability Index.
Because E-Star itself is a participant in the "renewable" energy industry, it has a special responsibility. For this reason, E-Star not only wishes its approach to serve as examples to others players in the economy, but also aspires to set the standard within the renewable energy industry itself.
